Since when was IT about phones?

Since mobile device management, mobile app management and mobile content filtering became business network essentials.

If the whole mobility management thing is just a layer of work too far, hand it over to Appurity’s Managed Mobility Service (MMS).

We set up our business to secure and manage smartphones, tablets and apps. We're doing it for all kinds of organisations in the public and private sector, including highly regulated industries such as law and healthcare.

Proof of Concept

We will help you engineer the risk out of moving to Appurity MMS by running a proof of concept for your program. This entails an audit looking at current patterns of use, preferred operating systems, indivduals’ preferences and ways of working, and all the other factors that can affect the outcome and long-term success of a move to a managed mobility service.

You’ll receive a report summarising the findings, which serves as the foundation for making an informed decision about switching to MMS. It will also help to clarify what you can expect from the change management project and how long it will take, as well as forming the basis of the quotation for the work.

Appurity: applied MMS

For example, we've been working with a UK local authority to help them manage the migration to a compliant multi-platform mobile deployment, with support for bring-your-own. The project included:

  • Design of the Android and iOS platforms for compliance with Public Services Network (Network) standards and specifications.
  • Collaboration with the Authority's IT team and their airtime provider to plan and implement a smooth roll out.
  • Management of the device swap process, from unboxing and pushing of policies to each device, to SIM swaps general support.
  • This included setting up policies for determining which users get which devices. For example, staff in more senior and mobile roles were issued with iPhone 5 handsets; people in less demanding roles were given iPhone 4 handsets.
  • Delivering the essentials of mobile management: mobile device management (MDM), mobile application management (MAM) and mobile content management (MCM). This takes the pressure of routine management away from the in-house team.
  • We also helped with the back end infrastructure, ensuring it was optimised for integration and management of the mobile deployment.

Multi-platform MMS
